Maya Eshet as RACHEL BERNSTEIN

Jean-Paul, Simone and the Girl tells a fictional story of world-famous French philosophers, authors and lovers, Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir, whose unconventional love lives often drew as much attention as their writings. Both are obsessed and in love with Rachel, a brilliant and beautiful Jewish college student who survived the German occupation of Paris with cunning, guile and violence. As Rachel’s demands become existential threats to Jean-Paul and Simone, their complicated relationships begin to sour and jeopardy looms.
